Daunted by the prospect on Thanksgiving of roasting the turkey, making the gravy, peeling and baking the sweet potatoes, making the stuffing and cranberry sauce? Forget about it. Our special at Southern Cross Bakery at the Kensington Farmers Market in southern MD is the fall roast turkey pie, with all the above ingredients baked into pastry and served as hand-held pies. And no washing up! On sale November 22 and November 29 (and we’ll see how it goes from there). Much fun was had by staff at the bakery experimenting with how to layer this one, with every possible combination tried!
